Hey there! My name is Joseé Muldrew and I am so excited to welcome you to The Looking Glass. As I welcome you into this community that encourages self-reflection and honoring our truths, it is only right that I share with you all who I am.

I am a Black woman who is born of great stock.

I am a daughter, sister, granddaughter, friend, and so much more to those who know me. Born and raised in Flint, Michigan, I have had the privilege of living in diverse communities that have shaped my identity and values. I earned my B.A. in Psychology from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, and later obtained my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine from the Boston University School of Medicine. Today, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia, committed to guiding others on their paths toward healing and self-discovery.

While these credentials speak to my background, they only tell part of my story. When I reflect on my journey, I see light—but it hasn’t always been that way. I have walked through pain, loss, self-doubt, and criticism. Yet, my resilience has consistently risen to meet those challenges, even on the hardest days. Through it all, I have come to see myself as a woman of faith, whose inner warmth radiates outward. I am someone who embraces the ongoing work of facing difficult truths in pursuit of deeper authenticity and purpose.

And beyond my own reflection, I see you. I see a shared space—an opportunity for us to stand together, looking through the same lens with courage and compassion. Together, we can explore the power of self-awareness and honor the truth of who we are.

Let us continue this journey side by side, ensuring that the reflections we hold are not only accurate, but aligned with the strength, beauty, and potential within us.
